Amazing. That's why there are updates. I see a lot of reviews on here complaining of sound quality problems, noise cancelation problems and some other things. If you do the firmware update, these things will improve significantly.
It was in Verizon packaging that was not sealed and contained a wall charger. Not even the ear gels that allow you to wear it without the ear hook. I own a BT530 that I purchased from a retail location. Nothing else. So I am less then satisfied with what I received. It included a wall charger, USB cable (for charging), extra gels and an extra ear hook. This order from shopcell.com had a lot less.
It is not the full retail package and does not come with the USB charging cable nor does it come with the extra ear gels. Beware of this Jabra bt 530 sold by ShopCell.
Turned it on and to my shocking suprise.it worked as if it were brand new. I turned it off(yes, it was ON) and left if for dead. Sound quality is good enough. Have been using it daily since then (4 months) and not a problem to speak of.Also the size is small enough to where it is not annoying.SO. The most amazing part of this headset is i DROPPED it in a glass of water when i was getting in my pickup and it SANK to the BOTTOM. This bluetooth headset was a nice suprise.
Plenty of earpieces to choose from. The very next day i charged it to see what would happen and sure enough it charged up. The inside ear spring is my preference now. Took me a few seconds to fish it out and i thought it was toast. Any gadget that can endure my accidental tests deserves 5 stars. This was my first headset with that feature and i really like it.
Battery makes it through 5 hours of talk time which gets me through an entire day.
Good fit and excellent noise cancellation make it worthy of a look. I've yet to try the small earhook; the eargels make it more "pocket-able."The only downside is the volume level. The maximum volume could be a bit higher for my tastes, especially in a noisy environment.Overall, this is a very good headset. The main draw of the Jabra BT530 was the noise canceling feature and it lives up to it's hype in that area. If the volume level were a tad higher, I'd give it 5 stars. I thought the eargels would not allow for a snug fit but they work extremely well. The sound quality of people on the other end is excellent and they comment that I sound very clear; better than my last headset.Fit is excellent. They slip in so easily you think there's no way the headset will stay secure but it does.
